Hello everyone! You’re reading the thirtieth issue of The Handwritten.
We completed 30 issues today. Thank you so much for all the support. This has immensely helped me publish every Thursday.
Today I will be requesting some support again towards the end of the issue, so please make it till the end.
The crucial step to redefining consistency is by defining your priorities.
A burning example of this can be content creation. Imagine trying to post on LinkedIn every day. Seems easy, right?
But now consider these details too.
For instance, you are a college fresher who is yet to learn a lot about your course. You are yet to give it some time to see what can be your strengths and weaknesses and how you can be strategic about them. And how will you make this happen, by bunking your college (well, unless you hate what you’re studying)? You won’t become aware of yourself by unnecessarily missing out on learning. This is never cool.
Plus, you’re also trying to be a part of college societies or you’re simply trying to learn what excites you— it could be meeting new people. For this to happen, you need space and time, and mental bandwidth, of course.
With all of this going on, you may not be able to batch-create the content…
So Rajita, are you telling me to refrain myself from trying just because I will end up having too much on my plate?
Nope! You will never know how much you have on your plate unless you put your foot into every new thing you want to try.
So when does the question of defining consistency come in?
It is when you look for the middle ground.
Taking the example I mentioned, the middle ground for you can be reducing the number of days you post while still being consistent. You can try posting four or five days a week unless you reach a point when you can batch-create.
The win here?
You won’t stop posting abruptly and you won’t regret breaking your habit either. You will rather modify your approach. And with more space and time, you may also be able to write quality content over quantity content.
Think about it. Take time and come back happier and not burdened.
Update Time
You will now get an issue from The Handwritten twice/month. Until now, you have received an issue every week, i.e., on Thursdays. You will still get an issue on Thursdays, the change will be that you will get it on the first and the third Thursday.
Why am I doing this?
The reasons are somewhat personal. But the other reasons include me wanting some time. Besides, I have not been able to work on projects lately. So posting for the sake of it isn’t something I want to do. Reducing the frequency might help me experiment more considering how packed things are becoming for me lately. It’s time I redefine consistency for myself too!
I will try to come back with weekly issues again but until then your support would be much appreciated.
Let’s Discuss OTT Movies
OTT movies have been interesting lately. It’s good to see Bollywood experiment. I recently watched Jaane Jaan starring Kareena Kapoor, Jaideep Ahlawat and Vijay Varma as their main cast. It’s a crime thriller. Not only this, but it touches on some psychological (and chilling) sides of people.

Relatable 🔥🔥
The idea of redefining consistency felt like something I read way back from a blog.
"Productivity means accomplishing what we intend to. If our plan today is to write three thousand words, rock a presentation with our leadership team, and catch up on our email, and we successfully accomplish all of those, we were perfectly productive. Likewise, if we intend to have a relaxing day and manage to do absolutely nothing, we’re again perfectly productive."

also, the idea of going from per week to per fortnight is good. Initially it's easy, but as time passes delivering that quality every week gets difficult, I guess.
