5 Metro Writing Tips to Kill Procrastination #28
Because you're already late for work/college, so make the best use of this time!
Hello everyone! You’re reading the twenty-eighth issue of The Handwritten.
Here are some quick writing tips I would like to walk you through. And you can use them anytime you’re on the move.
Have a handy app on your phone.
It can be a WhatsApp group you have with yourself, Google notes, Docs or anything. The last two are preferable because you don’t have to save your drafts yourself, they get autosaved and they aren’t really distracting. You needn’t write whole big ass sentences because pointers are good to go.
Have a mini notebook if you’re a fast writer.
If you draw flowcharts, have lots of arrows and can’t write slowly, it’s better to have a notebook to jot down all your thoughts. You can always refer to them later on.
Get done with the writing tasks which require only a few minutes.
Delaying them will only affect your important writing tasks and hence, their quality. It’s better to get done with ASAP so that you don’t see them linger in your mind.
Bring already completed draft outlines.
If you need more space and time to have your first draft ready, you can work on it and bring it while you’re travelling. This will help you move past the first big task. And maybe further complete it.
Review your drafts.
Phones are easier to carry, so have your Docs account logged in to your phone so that you can identify the readability level and errors.
That’s all for today. Let me know if you find these helpful!
Let’s Discuss Movie Adaptation
I watched My Fault (Culpa Mia) which has been adapted from the novel of the same name. I guess I take movie adaptations a little sensitively because the story is altered and a lot of details are missed too. But you might like it if you haven’t read the novel. The storyline could have been stronger with fewer missing parts.
